Thanks to National Coal Mining Musem for England and Yorkshire Sculpture Park there are two full days of guided walks and creative documentation.

 

 

On these days I will be joined by Helen Thomas, a visual artist specialising in landscapes. For more information about Helen's work please follow this link Helen Thomas

 

The days will run from 10am to 4pm 

 

Helen and I would like you to join us for the day as we walk and explore a section of the boundary as it passes through these two significant attractions.

The day will start with a talk by myself about the project followed by a demonstration by Helen on ways of visually capturing the landscape outdoors.

We will then lead a group through the footpaths on each site, encouraging participants to paint, draw, photograph or write about what they find.

Cost is £5 and sketching materials are provided. 

 

At the end of each day, there will be an opportunity to share work created in an indoor space.
